One year later, Thorin and his organization are, no doubt sought after by Azog and his orc gathering, accompanying the occasions of the past film. After Bilbo educates the gathering that a bear is following them, Gandalf ushers them to the close-by home of Beorn. Upon their landing, they are ambushed by the same bear. Gandalf uncovers that the bear is Beorn, as he is a skin-changer, and that he may be convinced to help them in their voyage. That night, Azog is summoned to Dol Guldur by the Necromancer, and educates his child Bolg to assume control over the chase for Thorin. The following day, Beorn credits his steeds to the organization so they can achieve Mirkwood, and frustrates the seeking after orcs.
